May's Flea Market Finds

Nick and I spent the better part of our sunny Sunday morning strolling through the Alameda Flea Market. We saw plenty that we liked, and several ideas that we filed away for future projects. With the beautiful weather, the great view, and the plethora of booths, it was the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday morning.
Not really needing or wanting anything in particular, we only ended up purchasing two items.
First to make it into our bag was this lovely white wire pedestal basket. Since it's likely not safe to put real fruit in, we may pull out our faux lemons for a summery centerpiece.

The other item we purchased was this antique globe.  Although we definitely won't be learning any geography on this more-than-slightly skewed representation of Earth, it's an interesting and eye-catching piece.

I love the  swirly stand on this globe in particular.

What treasures have you found lately, either flea marketing or thrifting??
